Cowgirls Open ITA Regional Play Thursday

Mountain Region Hosted by New Mexico State

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Oct. 15, 2024) – The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team will travel to Las Cruces, New Mexico this weekend for the ITA Mountain Regional Championships beginning Thursday, October 17 and running through Tuesday the 22nd. New Mexico State is hosting this year’s regional tournament.

A total of 19 teams will be competing at the regional, including eight Mountain West squads. Both singles finalists at the regional will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship. Meanwhile, the doubles champion from the region will qualify for the Doubles Championship.

Thursday opens with the first two rounds of singles play, the Round of 64 and 32. The first round of consolation play will be played as well. The first round of doubles action will be played Thursday, also. NMSU will be streaming the matches all weekend at the link HERE.
