Cowgirls Once Again Selected for UTR Sports NIT
Second-straight postseason trip for UW
BRADENTON, Fla. (April 30, 2024) – For the second consecutive season the Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team has been selected for postseason play. The Cowgirls will once again be traveling to the UTR NIT this season. The tournament will be held May 5-8 in Bradenton, Florida.
The full bracket for the tournament will be released at a later time. The Cowgirls finished the season 16-10 and finished third in the Mountain West with a 7-3 mark. Once again, a trio of Cowgirls were named All-Mountain West. Noesjka Brink and Sophie Zehender were both named to the All-Singles Team while the doubles duo of Violetta Borodina and Zehender were named All-Doubles.
UW will be joined in this season’s field by Colorado, West Virginia, Tulsa, Liberty, Appalachian State, Pacific and Saint Mary’s. All matches of the tournament can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video. Wyoming went 2-1 in last season’s inaugural NIT.
