Cowgirls Make Quick Work of Utah State

4-0 victory in under two hours
LOGAN, Utah (April 4, 2025) – The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team went on the road Friday and made quick work of Utah State, defeating the Aggies 4-0 in under two hours of play.
The Cowgirls (6-13, 3-4 MW) came out and took the Doubles Point, earning wins at No. 1 and 2 doubles. The team of Violetta Borodina and Dilnaz Mashabayeva continued their impressive play during conference season, winning 6-3 at the first spot and improving to 6-1 in league action and 8-1 during the dual season. At No. 2, Eugenia Ceinos and Elena Trencheva picked up a 6-4 victory.
In singles, Wyoming came out firing, winning in straight sets at Nos. 2, 3 and 4 on the day. Ceinos clinched the team win with her 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 3. At the fourth position, Trencheva got the Cowgirls started with her swift 6-1, 6-2 victory. Anastasiia Kochelaevskaia got the other singles win, picking up a 6-2, 6-0 victory to help UW sweep its way to its second consecutive win.
Wyoming looks to remain hot as it finishes the week on the road Sunday at Boise State. First serve is set for 11 a.m.
