Cowgirls Fall at CSU

CSU hits .312 while Wyoming is held to an .090 clip 

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (Oct. 25, 2025) – The Wyoming Cowgirls were defeated in three sets Saturday afternoon on the road at Colorado State. Set scores went 25-15, 25-17 and 25-18.

Colorado State hit .312 in the match while the Cowgirls (10-11, 6-4 MW) hit just .090. CSU out-blocked UW 12-5 in the contest and also recorded five service aces to Wyoming’s two. The Rams tallied 19 more kills on the day.

Paige Lauterwasser led the Wyoming attack with seven kills in the loss. Claire Wagstaff had six kills while Jillian Gregory and Sarah Holcomb added five each. Holcomb also led the Cowgirls in blocks, tallying five total on the day.

Sara Quigley led Wyoming with 13 assists in the match while Maddy Stucky had 12. Stucky also recorded a double-double as she added 14 digs. Skylar Erickson led the Cowgirl back row with 15 digs while Lily LaFlesch had 11. Erickson and Quigley accounted for the Wyoming aces. With her ace, Erickson moved into 10th place on the all-time career service aces list in program history.

Next for the Cowgirls are a couple of home matches next week. UW hosts San Jose State Thursday at 6:30 p.m., and Fresno State at 1 p.m., Saturday.
