Cowgirls Close Home Slate Sunday Against CSU

UW and Colorado State face-off at 11 a.m.
LARAMIE, Wyo. (April 11, 2025) – The Wyoming Cowgirl tennis team will host its final home match of the season Sunday morning as Border Rival Colorado State comes to town. Sunday, which will begin at 11, is Senior Day in Laramie as Elena Trencheva will be honored prior to the contest.
The Cowgirls (6-14, 3-5 MW) are coming off a split last week on the road, dismantling Utah State, 4-0 in Logan before falling at Boise State Sunday morning. With Trencheva’s win last Friday, she now has a team-leading 4-2 record in Mountain West play this season while her eight dual wins in 2025 are tied with Dilnaz Mashabayeva for the team lead.
In doubles action, UW continues to be paced at No. 1 by the team of Violetta Borodina and Mashabayeva. The duo has 14 wins overall in 2024-25, 8-2 in dual matches this winter and spring and has posted a 6-2 mark in league action thus far.
CSU enters the weekend with a 2-6 mark in conference play this season. The Rams are 2-8 in true road contests this season. Wyoming split a pair of matches last season with Colorado State.
