Cowgirls Close Fall Slate on a High Note

UW goes 5-for-6 in singles and 2-of-3 in doubles 

DENVER, Colo. (Oct. 26, 2025) – The Wyoming Cowgirls closed their fall slate with another strong day of play Sunday morning at the Colorado Cup hosted by the University of Denver. The Cowgirls won 5-of-6 singles matches on the day against Weber State and took two of the three doubles contests.

“Overall, it was a good weekend,” said Head Coach Dean Clower.

“I felt like the girls competed hard and did a lot of things well all weekend long. We will get home and work on getting healthy!”

Wyoming won four of its singles matches in straight sets as Silver Bijlsma, Eugenia Ceinos, Anastasiia Kochelaevskaia and Ruby Young all won in two sets. Dilnaz Mashabayeva defeated her opponent in three sets.

In doubles, the teams of Bijlsma and Ceinos and Kochelaevskaia and Mashabayeva picked up wins together.

The Cowgirls will resume play this winter as they open their dual slate January 15 at Oklahoma and against Tarleton State.
