Cowgirls next appear at Jon Messick Invite in Fort Collins

CANCUN, Mexico (Sept. 20, 2024) – After a rough day two in Mexico, the Wyoming Cowgirls responded in a big way Friday in the final day of action at the Princess Hotels College Cup. Wyoming won all four singles matches on the last day in Cancun.

Serina Abriola and Violetta Borodina both dominated their matches on the day as they both won their solo sets by 8-0 scores. Elena Trencheva also won in convincing fashion, 8-1 at the No. 4 singles spot. Anastasiia Kochelaevskaia’s 8-2 win at the fifth spot, rounded-out the UW wins. The other matches for the Cowgirls were cancelled due to weather.

UW will now have a week off before returning to fall action. Next up, the Cowgirls travel to Fort Collins September 27-29 to Colorado State for the Jon Messick Invitational.
