Cowgirls Announce Mountain West Slate

Dates of contests still subject to change

 

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Sept. 12, 2024) – The Mountain West has released its 2024-25 conference women’s basketball schedule. Game dates for the Wyoming Cowgirls’ conference slate are not final and could shift.

 

Wyoming opens league action at home, starting the New Year off with a January 1 contest against Utah State before going on the road for back-to-back games Jan. 4 and 8 at Fresno State and New Mexico, respectively. Jan. 11 features a home contest with the Aztecs from San Diego State while Nevada comes to the Arena-Auditorium the 15th.

 

The first of two contests with three-time defending Mountain West champion UNLV comes in Las Vegas Jan. 18. UW then travels to take on Air Force the 22nd. The Cowgirls’ first matchup in the Border War with Colorado State will take place in Laramie Jan. 25. A trip to San Jose State closes out the month of January on the 29th.

 

February begins on the first of the month by hosting Boise State. After a bye week, Wyoming will hit the road Feb. 8 to take on San Diego State. The Cowgirls will host back-to-back home contests Feb. 12 and 15 against Air Force and San Jose State, respectively. The final stretch of the regular season begins with a trip to Boise State Feb. 19 and a road contest at Nevada the 22nd. Two of Wyoming’s final three games will be at home, beginning with New Mexico on Feb. 26.

 

The Cowgirls’ final two games feature big contests. UW travels for the Border War part two March 1 to face CSU. The Cowgirls close the regular season by hosting UNLV on the 4th.

 

Wyoming’s non-conference slate will be released at a later date.
