Cowgirls Again Named to AVCA Team Academic Award

17th consecutive honor for UW

LEXINGTON, Ky. (July 21, 2025) – The Wyoming Cowgirl volleyball squad has once again been named to the AVCA Team Academic Award sponsored by INTENT for the 2024-25 academic calendar. It is the 17th consecutive year that UW has earned the honor.

Wyoming was one of 1,450 schools across college and high school to have maintained a team GPA of better than 3.30 for the academic year. The Cowgirls had a 3.59 team GPA for 2024-25 and had a trio of CSC Academic All-District members.

The 2025 Cowgirls report for fall camp August 6. UW will host its annual Brown & Gold Scrimmage August 16 at 1 p.m., to unofficially kickoff the season. The Cowgirls will play Denver in an exhibition in Cheyenne the 23rd and officially open the season Aug. 29 versus Tulsa to begin the Rumble in the Rockies.
