Cowboys Start off Hot at WAC Championships

HOUSTON, Texas (2/26/25) – The University of Wyoming men’s swimming and diving team started the 2025 WAC Championships off hot on Wednesday, claiming a school record and earning a spot on the podium.
In the first event of the evening, the Cowboy 200-yard medley relay team of Collin Davis, Christian Louie, Gavin Smith and Quinn Teller broke the school record, going 1:26.56 for a fourth-place finish.
The Cowboys earned their first podium finish in the 800-yard freestyle relay, with Smith, Adam Pannell, Andrew Ravegum and Caleb Ozenne swimming a 6:26.58 to take third.
Earlier in the day, the men’s 1-meter springboard preliminaries took place. DeShawn Campbell and Bruno Grau competed in the consolation finals, with Campbell finishing 11th overall with a score of 274.95 and Grau coming in 13thoff a score of 259.20.
The Cowboys are back in action tomorrow morning for preliminaries, while the finals kick off tomorrow evening.
