Cowboys Open Conference Play with Road Tilt at Utah State on Wednesday

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Dec. 2, 2024) – The Wyoming Cowboys open conference play on Wednesday with a trip to Utah State against the undefeated Aggies in Logan, Utah. The contest slated for a 7 p.m. MT start is the conference opener, as the league will now play 20 conference contests this season.

Wyoming heads into the contest with a 5-2 overall record after falling short in the championship game of the Cancun Challenge falling to LMU 73-70. One of the nation’s top offensive teams, Utah State averages 89.4 points per game for the season to rank ninth in the nation. USU is shooting 49.9 percent from the field for second in the nation and No. 29 in the MW. The group is also shooting 37.6 percent from behind the arc and average 9.1 threes per game.

The Cowboys are led in scoring by Obi Agbim at 18.3 points per game. He is shooting 48.5 percent from behind the arc and leads the team with three assists per night. Jordan Nesbitt is averages a double-double with 10.7 points per game and 11 rebounds per game. He ranks first in the MW in rebounding and sixth in the nation.
