Cowboys Head to Golden State for Battle with San Jose State

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Jan. 23, 2025) – The Wyoming Cowboys wrap up their road swing on Saturday with a trip to the Golden State for a battle with San Jose State. The contest is slated for a 5:30 p.m. MT start on the Mountain West Network.
Fans can watch and listen to the contest, as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The game will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Keith Kelly will be on the call alongside Kevin McKinney.
About The Teams
Wyoming heads into the contest with a 10-9 overall record and a 3-5 mark in the Mountain West after earning a 63-61 road win at UNLV on Tuesday. Wyoming tied a season-high with 14 made three pointers. The Pokes are shooting 36.3 percent from behind the arc on the season and 40.7 percent in conference play to rank first in the conference. Wyoming is shooting 45 percent from the field and opponents are shooting 44.1 percent. The Cowboys are grabbing 35.1 rebounds per game on the season and are +3.5 in rebounding this season.
The Spartans head into the contest with 9-11 overall record and a 2-6 mark in conference play after falling to Nevada on the road last Saturday. SJSU averaged 75 points per game and are allowing 73 points per night. The Spartans shoot 45.7 percent from the field with opponents shooting just behind them at 45.6 percent. San Jose State shoots 76.2 percent from the line this season with 14 makes, as SJSU ranks third in the MW in free throw percentage.

The Cowboys are led by Obi Agbim at 18.8 points per game for second in the conference. He is shooting 47.1 percent from behind the arc to lead the league and rank second in the nation. Jordan Nesbitt added his seventh double-double of the season at UNLV to rank third in the MW and No. 25 in the nation. The Cowboys and Spartans will meet for the 26th time on Saturday. The Pokes lead the all-time series 22-3 in a series that dates back to 1965. Wyoming is 9-3 all-time against SJSU in San Jose.
