Court Navigator Program launches in Carbon County

RAWLINS (WNE) — The Wyoming Judicial Branch on Monday announced the expansion of the Court Navigator Program in Carbon County.

Court navigators are trained volunteers who assist those with certain civil matters, such as eviction actions, domestic relations and protection orders, in understanding legal procedures, finding resources, and navigating the court system. 

Navigators provide assistance with completing forms and connecting individuals with legal aid.

Currently, only virtual appointments are available in Carbon County. 

Information on scheduling an appointment with a court navigator is available on the Wyoming Judicial Branch website.

The Court Navigator Program began as a pilot program in April 2024 in Natrona County, later expanding to Uinta and Lincoln Counties, to explore ways to improve access to justice for self-represented litigants.

After a successful pilot, the program is expanding.
