Norma Marie Reman, Newcastle, passed away Sept. 14, 2022, at Weston County Manor at the age of 88. Norma was born on March 11, 1934, in Murdo, S.D., and moved to Newcastle in 1980. Norma worked in several cafés throughout her life. In her free time Norma loved reading, writing letters, crocheting, making crafts and ceramics. She was also involved in the TOPS program for many years.  Norma was a valued volunteer at Weston County Senior Services, where she enjoyed the dances and all the other activities held there.
Norma is preceded in death by her parents, Albert Anderson and Meta (Pithan) Marion; and daughter, Alice Winter.  
Norma is survived by her brother, Gerald (Dyann) Anderson; son-in-law, Jeffrey Winter; grandchildren, Amy (John) Hawley, Jessica (Justin) Bettorf, and Lacey (Michael) Malak; great-grandchildren, Matthew Hawley, Brandon Hawley, Preston Hawley, Cassie (Bryce) Hawley, Mikaela Malak, Alexzander Malak, Harley Malak, and Stefan Malak; four great-great grandchildren; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and close friends.  
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, at 11 a.m. at Weston County Senior Services, with a potluck lunch. A burial will be held in Draper, S.D., at a later date.
