Dispatch center: an outside objective

To the Editor:
Good morning, I am an outsider, which means I have no axe to grind. After reading two articles in the News Letter Journal, I am writing my first letter to the editor.
Smart people in the past thought it was a good idea to have a joint dispatch center to save money and help with the shortage of employees.
Smart people today don’t think these problems exist. Covid money is a one-time thing, so who goes short next year?
Someone needs to bring real figures (not inflated) to the table and figure this out, before the money is spent and the problems still exist.
Egos need to be left home and your elected officials need to work together.
