Cody employee allegedly spends $10k after being sacked from job

CODY (WNE) — A local business employee was arrested May 27 after allegedly stealing nearly $10,000 from his employer in early April.
According to an affidavit prepared by Park County Sheriff’s Deputy Andrew Gibson, Marc Rosen spent $9,960 in the week after he was terminated on April 8. Rosen used a company credit card at both a physical store location and online, the affidavit said.
Rosen’s first purchase, which totaled nearly $2,000, was at a Las Vegas clothing store associated with the Golden Nugget Casino. Gibson used information obtained from Verizon, Rosen’s cellphone provider, to confirm that Rosen was in the Las Vegas area at the time of purchase.
In six subsequent days, Rosen’s company card was charged three times at businesses in the Gulf Shores area of Alabama, according to the affidavit.
In addition to purchases made in Las Vegas and Alabama, Rosen used the card to make a $5,000 purchase from Amazon for a watch, the affidavit said.
An arrest warrant was issued for Rosen on May 27, and he is currently awaiting further court proceedings. He faces a charge of felony theft greater than $1,000.
