CHRISTOPHER JOHN PITHAN
Christopher John Pithan, born in Rapid City S.D., on Aug. 12, 1961, passed away Jan. 21, 2019, at Chandler Regional Hospital in Phoenix, Ariz., following a long illness.
Chris graduated from high school in Newcastle, Wyo. In later years he was employed by Fisher Sand and Gravel quarry for two years in Newcastle.
Chris was then transferred to Phoenix where he was superintendent for that area and Albuquerque, N.M. He managed the quarry at Phoenix and oversaw numerous construction sites.
Chris and family moved to Colorado Springs at the beginning of his illness. He lived there for six years, then returned to Phoenix to be with his and Robin’s grandchildren.
Chris is survived by his wife of 30 years, Robin; one son, Christopher Scott Pithan (Nicole) of Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Michelle Alba (David) of Phoenix and Justine Culver of Colorado Springs; one brother, Tracy Pithan of Colorado Springs; and three sisters, Becky and family of Colorado Springs, Angela Bartleson of Washington, and Terisse Harmon of Washington; his parents, Jerry and Pat Pithan of Edgemont, S.D.; and the loves of his life, his five grandchildren, Jonathon Pithan, David, and Jocelyn Alba, and Maegen and Robert Borden.
Chris was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all.
