May 31, 1947–June 12, 2024

Christine “Chris” Erdman of Loveland, Colorado, formerly Newcastle, Wyoming, passed away on June 12, 2024.

Chris was born on May 31, 1947, to Helen McNeal and Carol Andersen in Newcastle.

Chris is survived by her sister, Lynn Marker and husband Duane; niece, Sarah Rice and husband Eric; nephew, Paul Marker and wife Ashley and their children, which include Chris’s great-nephew, Christian.

Chris’ memory is loved and shared by her family and friends. “Chrissy, Auntie Chris, or Ga,” whatever nickname she bared, was given to her out of love and respect by everyone she came in contact with. My Auntie Chris (author of this love note, Sarah) was a light to everyone she met. If you knew her, you know that she loved bird watching, sewing, the outdoors, and most important, her family. My brother and I were incredibly loved by our aunt and were the recipients of the best Christmas gifts (I’m not sure why during this time of grief that this memory sticks out to me, but it put a smile on my face when reminiscing about her). Paul and I would always get excited to open her gifts on Christmas Eve. My aunt loved her sister, Lynn, immensely and equally loved her brother-in-law, Duane. The three of them shared a special bond and did almost everything together. When Christian Lee was born (Paul’s son) her world brightened knowing that the family finally had a baby to spoil. She knew how to love her family, and how to extend that love to everyone, despite her sometimes-shy demeanor.

Chris was an incredible mother to her daughters, Nicole and Ginny Lynn Erdman. Her world revolved around her girls, and it’s comforting to all of us to know that they are finally all together again.

We will honor and cherish our memories of her for the rest of our lives, and we will instill her love and affection of family to the generations who follow. We love and miss you; rest in peace.
