Cheyenne Transitional Center looks for resident who ‘walked away’

CHEYENNE (WNE) — Authorities are looking for Linsey Bondi, a resident of the Cheyenne Transitional Center who didn’t return to the facility Monday after being granted permission to leave temporarily for a job search.

According to a news release from CTC, Bondi left the facility Monday at approximately 8 a.m. to conduct a job search, which was an approved activity for her. Bondi failed, however, to return to the facility at the agreed upon return time of noon.

CTC is a non-secure adult community correction center operated by CoreCivic for the Wyoming Department of Corrections . This means that it is standard practice for residents to come and go during the day for work, counseling and other reentry services, so long as they adhere to certain rules.

Bondi is considered a “walk away,” the release stated. There is an active warrant for her arrest; she is serving time for aggravated assault and battery and attempt to injure with weapon.

Bondi was described as a 39-year-old Caucasian woman with hazel eyes and strawberry blonde hair. She is 5-foot-4 and approximately 138 pounds.

She was last seen leaving CTC, headed for the nearest bus stop. She was heading west on 17th Street, toward O’Neil Avenue, according to the release.

Once CTC facility personnel determined that Bondi did not return to the facility, WDOC and local law enforcement were immediately notified, according to the release.

Facility administrators are fully cooperating with the Cheyenne Police Department’s investigation.
