CASPER (WNE) — A Casper man pleaded not guilty last week to four counts of possession of child porn.

Cory Kimbley, 38, was incarcerated on suspicion of a drug offense when officers received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited children, according to an affidavit filed in circuit court.

Investigators confiscated his phone under a search warrant when booking Kimbley as part of the drug investigation, court papers indicate.

Special Agent Cody Decker, who was involved in the drug investigation, handed the device to Special Agent Drew Cotton and warned him “there was ‘a lot’ of pornography’” on the phone to such an extent that Decker didn’t review the files, according to the filing.

On the device, investigators say they found a Dropbox account with a total of 19 depictions of children being sexually abused.

Investigators allege they also found more than 780 images classified as “age difficult” images or “child erotica” that predominantly featured “young, petite women of an indeterminate age.”

Kimbley entered his plea before Judge Daniel Forgey on Wednesday morning.

If convicted, he faces as much as 40 years in prison and a $40,000 fine.
