Casper 21-year-old dies in car crash northwest of Douglas

CASPER (WNE) — A young Casper adult died in a car crash northwest of Douglas on Sunday morning.
The man, identified as 21-year-old Braeden Rayner by Wyoming Highway Patrol, died at the scene, according to a news release from WHP.
Rayner was a passenger in a Chevy Suburban that rolled over around mile marker 144 on I-25 after the driver entered the median and overcorrected, causing the SUV to flip twice, authorities said.
Authorities said Rayner was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, causing him to be ejected from the vehicle.
Information compiled by WYDOT indicated the weather was clear at the time of the crash and listed driver fatigue as a possible contributing factor.
Three other people were injured in the crash, but Rayner is the only fatality as of Wednesday, authorities said.
Two fundraisers and a Meal Train have been set up in support of Rayner’s family. One GoFundMe, titled “Support Braeden Rayner’s Family“ has been shared by Rayner’s mother on Facebook. Another, titled “Rayner Family: Our Condolences“ has been set up for Rayner’s father “by his oilfield family on Cyclone 36.”
