LARAMIE, Wyoming (8/25/25) – University of Wyoming wrestling head coach Mark Branch announced his 2025-26 schedule on Monday. The Cowboys are slated to compete in 11 duals and five tournaments.
The season begins at Western Wyoming on Nov. 1. The Pokes then travel to Tulsa, Oklahoma, for the National Duals from Nov. 15-16. The opening month of competition concludes with Wyoming’s Big 12 opener at Cal Baptist on Nov. 22.
The Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite (Dec. 5-6) and the Reno Tournament of Champions (Dec. 21) sandwich one of the biggest duals in program history. Wyoming hosts No. 1 and four-time defending national champion, Penn State, on Dec. 13 inside the Arena-Auditorium.
The month of January commences with the Soldier Salute Tournament in Coralville, Iowa, from Jan. 3-4. Nine consecutive duals take place thereafter. The Pokes travel to Utah Valley (Jan. 10) and West Virginia (Jan. 24) while also competing at home in the UniWyo against South Dakota State (Jan. 18), West Virginia (Jan. 24) and Oregon State (Jan. 31).
The final month of the regular season features all but one competition at home. The Pokes dual Air Force (Feb. 6), North Dakota State (Feb. 8), Oklahoma (Feb. 15) in the UniWyo and participate in the Cowboy Shootout (Feb. 21) inside the Arena-Auditorium. The Cowboys’ only time away from home is a trip to Northern Colorado on Feb. 13.
“This year’s schedule will be challenging, but it should prepare us well for the NCAA Championships in Cleveland,” Branch said. “Hosting Penn State will be a great opportunity for the state of Wyoming, and our guys will get a chance to see the best team in the last decade in our home arena.”
The Big 12 Tournament stretches March 6-7 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The NCAA Championships are March 19-21 in Cleveland, Ohio.
