Borodina and Mashabayeva Drop Quarterfinal Battle at MW Individuals

LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Oct. 3, 2024) – The doubles tandem of Violetta Borodina and Dilnaz Mashabayeva’s run at the Mountain West Fall Individuals came to an end Thursday morning in the quarterfinals.
The duo lost an absolute battle with Cindy Hu and Coco Zhao of UNLV. Hu and Zhao came out on top in the tiebreak, 8-6 to win the match by a score of 8-7. With the loss, the Cowgirls’ time in Las Vegas as come to an end at the tournament, as both lost as individuals in the singles portion Wednesday at the event.
