Bomgaars holds grand opening

While the store has been open since the beginning of November, Bomgaars held its grand opening celebration from Thursday, Dec. 5, through Sunday, Dec. 8. Store manager Warren Lange said the event went well, with plenty of big sales and lots of people taking advantage of the savings. Sometimes the parking lot was almost full to capacity as people came out in more substantial than regular numbers. Lange said attendance was better than expected, and the store did well.
The grand opening culminated on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. with a drawing. People could enter every day during the event. The large box available to put tickets into was so full that Lange had to break out a metal trash can to hold all the entrants’ tickets by the time the team was picking winners, indicating that you couldn’t even get your hand into the box to stir them. He also said that the winners did not need to be present to win. Using phone numbers written on the tickets, the staff at Bomgaars will be busy calling the winners so they can come by, pick up their prizes, and at least for the big item winners, get their pictures taken.
Items raffled off ranged from hats and shirts to totes and tool kits.
