Blue Cross Blue Shield creates new program for mothers

CASPER (WNE) — Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming has launched a new program to support maternal healthcare in rural communities.
The program, named Special Delivery, launched this week and will provide personalized prenatal vitamins, breastfeeding resources, remote monitoring and mental health access.
“We understand that pregnancy and postpartum care can be overwhelming —especially in areas with limited access to services,” said Lisa Brandes, a medical director at Blue Cross Blue Shield. “This program is about more than just clinical care. It’s about ensuring Wyoming families feel supported, informed, and connected at every step.”
The insurance company’s Population Health Team will connect individuals with the levels of support they need.
The prenatal vitamins are prescribed through Perelel and delivered right to the patient’s door.
High-risk pregnancies will have access to remote monitoring through Marani, an online platform with a remote care team.
There will also be a virtual platform to connect new mothers struggling with postpartum depression with a mental health provider.
