BEVERLY ANN ONDRIEZEK

Beverly Ondriezek of Upton, Wyoming, passed away at the Sundance Hospital following a brief illness on Oct. 22, 2024. Beverly Ann Ondriezek was born on Jan. 25, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois to Helen and Omar Menard. 

She attended and graduated from Lindhlom High School, Illinois, in 1953. Following high school, she worked as a bookkeeper at Northern Trust Bank. 

On a return bus trip from California, she met her future brother-in-law, Lee Roy Ondriezek. While visiting, Lee gave her his brother Joe’s address, which began a long-distance courtship. Beverly and Jospeh Ondriezek were married on May 7, 1960, at St. Ritas Catholic Church in Chicago. 

Beverly left life of the big city and went to the country to start her life on the Ondriezek Ranch, just North of Upton, where her and Joe were blessed with 7 wonderful children. 

Beverly is survived by her husband Joseph; 5 daughters, Susan (Jon) Peterson of Upton, Penney Mahoney of Upton, Camille Ondriezek of Upton, Kathy (Shawn) Fligge of Upton, and Kelly (Steve) Sales of Upton; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Beverly was preceeded in death by sons Terrance Joseph and George Weston Ondriezek; sister and husband Dorothy and Jim Ryan; nephew Tony Recchia; parents Helen and Omar Menard; grandparents; and Uncle George Rinck. 

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., on Friday, Nov. 1, 2024, at the Upton Elementary School Auditorium, in Upton. Burial will follow in the rural Greenwood Cemetery north of Upton.
