Average gasoline prices drop 4.5 cents a gallon in Wyoming

CHEYENNE (WNE) — Average gasoline prices in Wyoming have fallen 4.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.47 per gallon Tuesday, according to GasBuddy.com’s survey of 494 stations in Wyoming.
Prices in Wyoming are 63.8 cents per gallon higher than a month ago and stand $1.38 per gallon higher than a year ago. The national average price of diesel has decreased 4 cents compared to a week ago and stands at $5.571 per gallon.
According to GasBuddy price reports, the lowest price in the state Monday was $3.99 per gallon, while the highest was $5.39, a difference of $1.40 per gallon.
The national average price of gasoline has fallen 6.6 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.45 on Tuesday.
The national average is up 41 cents per gallon from a month ago and stands $1.32 per gallon higher than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data compiled from more than 11 million weekly price reports covering over 150,000 gas stations across the country.
Neighboring areas and their current gas prices are as follows:
- Fort Collins, Colorado — $4.63, down 18.1 cents per gallon from last week’s $4.81.
- Ogden, Utah — $4.56, down 6.7 cents per gallon from last week’s $4.63.
- Billings, Montana — $4.58, up 4.4 cents per gallon from last week’s $4.54.
