Average gas prices rocket up more than 43 cents a gallon in past week

CHEYENNE (WNE) — Average gasoline prices in Wyoming have risen 43.5 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.27 per gallon Monday, according to GasBuddy.com’s survey of 494 stations in Wyoming.

Prices in Wyoming are 50 cents per gallon higher than a month ago, and stand $1.17 per gallon higher than a year ago.

According to GasBuddy price reports, the lowest price in the state Sunday was $3.88 per gallon, while the highest was $4.85, a difference of 97 cents per gallon.

The national average price of gasoline has risen 38.2 cents per gallon in the last week, averaging $4.42 per gallon Monday. The national average is up 32.6 cents per gallon from a month ago, and stands $1.31 per gallon higher than a year ago, according to GasBuddy data.
