A funeral service for Agnes Viola “Aggie” Christensen, 94, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, at Wheatland Worship Center, 1452 Cedar Street, in Wheatland, Wyo., with Pastor Geoffrey R. Gonifas officiating. Interment will be held at Wheatland Cemetery.
Agnes passed away Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at Platte County Legacy Home in Wheatland.
She was born Saturday, Feb. 7, 1925, the daughter of Harry Miller and Eldora “Mom” (Locke) Olson in Wheatland.
Agnes married Herbert Allen Christensen on Dec. 26, 1941, in Harrisburg, Neb. They were married for 69 years. To this union were three children, twins Betty and Beverly, and son Herbert Allen Jr.
She enjoyed together time with Herbert, going fishing, hunting, and attending church. She was “Mommie” to many foster children and also baby-sat many children.
Agnes is survived by two children, Betty (Norm) Brotzman of Newcastle, Wyo., and Herb (Gail) Christensen of Montesano, Wash.; five grandchildren, Cyna (Dave) Whitford, Candace (Dennis) Daywitt, Ginger (Darin) Gerchak, Angela (Ryan) McCullough, and Chris (Jodi) Christensen; 10 great-grandchildren, Amberly Daywitt, Annette, Ginnette and Daniel Gerchak, Joshua, Jana and Caleb McCullough, Alyssa, Katie, and MaKenzie Christensen; and foster son, Burt A. Petersen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert, on Oct. 29, 2010; daughter, Beverly Christensen on Feb. 13, 2017; and twin brother, Harry Olson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Herb Christensen, Norm Brotzman, Dennis Daywitt, Mike Holst, Burt Petersen, and Lester Olson.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 7 to 8 p.m.
