9.13.18 Bid Notice 2

NOTICE
 
The City of Newcastle, Wyoming (“City”) will accept sealed bids for the purchase of Lots 1, 2 and 3 in Block 1, Washington Park Resubdivision, Newcastle, Weston County, Wyoming (“Lots”).  The Lots will be sold together, not individually, and the minimum acceptable bid for the Lots is One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00), payable in cash at closing.  Bids must be received in a sealed envelope labeled as “Washington Park Lots Bid”, or similar wording, no later than 5:00 p.m. on September 17, 2018 in the Newcastle City Administrative Office, 10 W. Warwick, Newcastle, Wyoming 82701.  Bids will be opened and awarded to the highest bidder at 7:15 p.m. on September 17, 2018 in the City meeting room located on the 2nd floor of the City Administration Building, 10 W. Warwick, Newcastle, Wyoming.  Bids must specify the amount bid, the name, address and telephone number of the bidder, be signed by the bidder, and be accompanied by a cashier’s check in the amount of One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00) payable to the City (“Bid Bond”).  If the successful bidder fails to close the purchase on or before October 4, 2018, the successful bidder will be deemed to have forfeited the right to purchase the Lots, and the City shall be entitled to retain the successful bidder’s Bid Bond as liquidated damages for the successful bidder’s failure to complete the purchase of the Lots.  The Lots will be sold zoned as C-1 (General Commercial District).  Additional bid terms (“Bid Terms”) are available by contacting the City Clerk, 10 W.
