LANDER (WNE) – The Wyoming Highway Patrol is investigating a crash that killed two women last week.

According to the WHP, Naomi Yellowbear, 40, and Kathryn Brown, 20, were killed in a crash on Wyoming Highway 132 on March 5.

Law enforcement was called to the scene just before 11 a.m. According to the WHP, the Ford pickup was northbound on Highway 132 when it exited the roadway to the right.

The driver then reportedly overcorrected to the left, causing it to enter a passenger-side-leading yaw and cross both lanes of traffic.

The pickup then entered the southbound borrow ditch, and the driver reportedly steered the Ford to the right, causing the vehicle to pitch into a side-leading yaw. The Ford then rolled and came to a rest on its roof.

Neither occupant was reportedly wearing their seat belt.

Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash, and driver inattention is being investigated as a possible contributing factor, according to the WHP.
