ORDINANCE NO. 4, SERIES 2019
 
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 26-19 (a) AND (b) OF ARTICLE 2, CHAPTER 26 OF THE CODE OF THE TOWN OF THE CITY OF NEWCASTLE, WYOMING, 1961 TO INCREASE MONTHLY INFRASTRUCTURE FEE FROM THREE DOLLARS ($3.00) TO EIGHT DOLLARS ($8.00) PER WATER METER; TO INCREASE WATER RATES BY EIGHTEEN PERCENT (18%); AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE
 
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF NEWCASTLE, WESTON COUNTY, WYOMING, that:
Section 1: Section 26-19 (a) and (b) of Article 2, Chapter 26 of the Code of the Town of the City of Newcastle, Wyoming 1961 shall be, and hereby is, amended to read in complete form as follows:
“Sec. 26-19. Rates for water service.
 
(a) Within the City.  The water rates for water service furnished within the corporate limits of the City shall be eight dollars ($8.00) per water meter per month plus the following amounts based upon water consumption per month:
First 2,000 gallons or less . . . . . . . . . . . . $13.30
Next 3,000 gallons prorated on usage . . . $4.21 per 1,000 gallons
Over 5,000 gallons prorated on usage . . $3.49 per 1,000 gallons
 
 (b) Outside the City.  The water rates for water service furnished outside the corporate limits of the City shall be eight dollars ($8.00) per water meter per month plus the following amounts based upon water consumption per month:
First 2,000 gallons or less . . . . . . . . . . . $21.00
Next 3,000 gallons prorated on usage . . $7.32 per 1,000 gallons
Over 5,000 gallons prorated on usage. . . $5.46 per 1,000 gallons”
 
Section 2: This Ordinance shall become effective September 1, 2019 for that billing month, and upon publication as provided by law.
Passed on first reading: June 17, 2019.
Passed on second reading: July 1, 2019.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED on third reading this 15th day of July, 2019.
