PUBLIC NOTICE
SETTING PUBLIC COMMENT HEARING
Pursuant to the Wyoming Administrative Procedure Act and the Wyoming Public Service Commission (Commission) Rules, the Commission hereby gives notice that Water Unlimited, Inc., (Water Unlimited or the Company) has submitted an Application for approval of a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity (CPCN) to operate as a water distribution public utility to rural Weston County.
Water Unlimited is a public utility as defined by Wyo. Stat. § 37-1-101(a)(vi)(E), providing retail water public utility service without a CPCN, subject to the Commission’s jurisdiction pursuant to Wyo. Stat. § 37-2-112.
On September 8, 2017, the Company filed their Application requesting a CPCN to provide domestic water utility services to its service area. The service area is described as follows:
Township 34 North, Range 61 West, 6th P.M.
Section 21: SE1/4SW1/4
Section 28: NE1/4NW1/4; NE1/4; N1/2SE1/4SW1/4
Weston County, Wyoming.
On January 14, 2019, Water Unlimited filed its initial rates and terms, and conditions of service. The proposed rates are the same as the rates currently charged for water service.
This is not a complete description of the Application. The Application is on file at the Commission’s offices, located at 2515 Warren Avenue, Suite 300, Cheyenne, Wyoming and at the Company’s office, located at 3 Seminoe Avenue, Newcastle, Wyoming. The Application is available for inspection by any interested person during regular business hours or online at: http://psc.state.wy.us/.
Anyone desiring to file a statement, intervention petition, protest or request for a public hearing in this matter must file in writing with the Commission on or before February 22, 2019. A proposed intervention or request for hearing must set forth the grounds under which they are made and the position and interest of the petitioner in this proceeding.
