NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
 
The City of Newcastle, Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 7:15 P.M. local time, on February 18, 2020 in the Council Chambers. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the following project:
 
Water Improvements 2019 Boyd Avenue
 
At the meeting, the City of Newcastle will present the preliminary design of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost and funding of the improvements. A preliminary plan of improvements, cost estimate, and the proposed funding can also be reviewed at the Newcastle City Hall. The total project cost is estimated as $409,920 of which a 50% Mineral Royalty Grant has been obtained. To fund the other 50% and as a condition of the Grant the City of Newcastle plans to borrow $204,960 from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) program administered by the Wyoming State Loan and Investment Board (SLIB). Loan terms will be 2.5% interest and 20 years with repayment spread equally over an estimated total of 1488 water service accounts. The loan repayment will be $13,147 per year resulting in an approximate $0.75 per month rate increase per each account.
