Wyoming Seasoned for Largest Mountain West Indoor Championships

RENO, Nev. (Feb. 25, 2026) – Wyoming track & field will return to Reno for the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships, Thursday to Saturday, at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.

Mountain West Network

Pokes look to compete in the largest Mountain West championships in conference history with the addition of Grand Canyon over the summer. At last year’s championship, the Cowboys finished fourth with 72 points and three conference titles while the Cowgirls took 11th with 10.5 points and one podium finish. Also at the MW championships, Daniel Reynolds was selected as the Men’s Outstanding Field Performer of the Meet with two throws titles.

Thursday:        11 a.m. – Pentathlon (60m Hurdles, High Jump, Shot Put, Long Jump)

                        4 p.m. – Pentathlon (800m)

                        5 p.m. – 200m Prelims

                        5:50 p.m. – 5,000m, DMR Final

Friday:             12:30 p.m. – Women’s Weight Throw

                        2:15 p.m. – Women’s High Jump

                        3:30 p.m. – Men’s Weight Throw

                        4:15 p.m. – Women’s Long Jump

                        4:30 p.m. – Men’s Long Jump

                        4:30 p.m. – Mile, 60m Hurdles, 400m, 60m, 800m Prelims

Saturday:        10:30 p.m. – Men’s High Jump

                        11 a.m. – Women’s Shot Put

                        12:10 p.m. – Mile, 60m Hurdles Final

12:35 p.m. – Women’s Triple Jump

12:45 p.m. – Men’s Triple Jump

12:50 p.m. – 400m Final

1 p.m. – Men’s Shot Put

LAST TIME OUT

At the Battle Born Classic, also held at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, Wyoming posted eight Top 10 program times while the distance crew tested themselves at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational with a No. 2 program time in Boston, Mass.
