Three Cowgirls Golfers Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

LARAMIE, Wyo. (June 17, 2026) – College Sports Communicators announced its Academic All-District honorees this week. A trio of University of Wyoming women's golfers were honored. Elle Higgins, Kira Reisner and Meghan Vogt all earned the honors for the Brown and Gold.

In order to qualify, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or older, have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and have competed in at least 75 percent of the team's competition or the conference championships.

In her first tournament with the Cowgirls, Higgins set the program record for individual low round with a 67 (-5) in the opening round of the Utah Valley Wolverine Invitational. The Montana transfer finished the 54-hole event second on the individual leaderboard at -7 (209) for the lowest tournament score (209, -7) in program history. Higgins was instrumental in UW winning the National Golf Invitational. She finished tied for fourth with a 54-hole score of 217 (+1) to help the Cowgirls win the 10-team event in the program's first postseason appearance.

At the Mountain West Championships, Reisner finished 28th to help the Cowgirls finish fourth in the 10-team conference tournament, the highest in program history. Reisner finished tied for 19th at the National Golf Invitational with a 54-hole score of 225 (+9) to help the Cowgirls win the 10-team event in the program's first postseason appearance. At the Silicon Valley Showcase, Reisner made her first career hole-in-one on No. 15, a 143-yard, par-3 at Green Hills Country Club in Millbrae, Calif.

Vogt tied the program record for lowest round with a 67 and finished +1 for the tournament to lead the Cowgirls at the Ron Moore Collegiate hosted by the University of Denver. Vogt, playing through a shoulder injury, concluded her stellar Cowgirl career with back-to-back rounds of 73 to finish 14th at the Mountain West Championships at +6 for the tournament. UW finished fourth in the 10-team event, the highest finish in program history. Vogt's legendary career at UW ended with postseason hardware as the super senior finished tied for seventh in the National Golf Invitational with a 54-hole score of 218 (+2) to help the Cowgirls win the 10-team tournament. Vogt shot a 68 in the second round as UW built a commanding lead and held on for to best runner-up Denver by eight shots.
