So, you think you need tennis courts to play tennis? Think again. Newcastle Community Recreation Director, Jessica Bettorf has organized an opportunity for residents of Newcastle who love the game, or would like to give it a try, to work with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) to hone their skills.
“When I first started my position, I saw a flier from the USTA, but couldn’t make it happen then, Bettorf began. “However, this year they had an opening so I contacted the rep and he was more than happy to come here.”
This Saturday, August 12th from 9:00 a.m. to noon, the USTA will be set up in the practice gym at the high school to put on a clinic for anyone who is interested to play some tennis.
