Men’s Golf Places Seventh at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate

PALM DESERT, California (2/25/26) – The University of Wyoming men’s golf team concluded play at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate on Wednesday. The Cowboys took seventh as a team at 858 (-6) in a tournament played at The Classic Club.

Colorado captured the team title at 830 (-34). Maryland and Cal Baptist rounded out the top three at 842 (-22) and 845 (-19), respectively. Maryland’s Emil Riegger sat atop the individual leaderboard at 206 (-10).

Brody Knowlton paced the Pokes all week and finished in a tie for 13th at 211 (-5). He carded a final round 74 (+2).

Brody Leid shared 17th at 213 (-3). He closed with a 75 (+3).

Kristof Panke enjoyed the best round for Wyoming on Wednesday. He boasted a final round 69 (-3) filled with half a dozen birdies to finish in a tie for 25th at 214 (-2).

Kellen Ball rounded out the countable scores for the Cowboys. He wrapped up his tournament sharing 84th place at 225 (+9) following a Round 3 score of 80 (+8).

Connor Scheich tied for 88th at 227 (+11) after a final round of 77 (+5). Austin Barry, who competed as an individual, tied for 113th at 237 (+21). He carded a third round 74 (+2).

Wyoming takes nearly two weeks off before teeing it up at the Lamkin San Diego Classic. That tournament runs from March 9-10.
