Ezell Announces Signing of Ophelia Powell

LARAMIE, Wyo. (April 23, 2026) – Wyoming Cowgirl Head Women’s Basketball Coach Heather Ezell has announced the signing of Ophelia Powell, a 5-9 transfer guard who began her collegiate career at CSU Bakersfield.
Powell, who will have three seasons of eligibility remaining, appeared in 21 games in 2025-26 for the Roadrunners. The Melbourne, Australia native, graduated from St. Andrew’s College in Christchurch, New Zealand and led her team to a runner-up finish at the New Zealand Nationals, three times, while winning four South Island Championships. Powell played for the New Zealand National Team for three years and played internationally with her AAU squad.
