Ezell Announces Signing of Hayley Johnson

San Jose City College transfer joins Cowgirls in 2026-27
LARAMIE, Wyo. (April 15, 2026) – Wyoming Cowgirls Head Coach Heather Ezell has announced the signing of Hayley Johnson, who will join the Cowgirls in 2026-27. The 6-2 forward spent her first two seasons at San Jose City College and is a native of Sunnyvale, Calif.
Johnson, who made 27 starts at SJCC in her sophomore campaign, averaged 19.7 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 59.5-percent from the floor. Johnson helped lead the Jaguars to the second round of the 3C2A Women’s State Basketball Championships. Johnson scored in double figures 26 times in 2025-26 and had 13 games scoring 20-plus and recorded seven double-doubles.
The Fremont High School alum averaged 13.8 points and 10.9 rebounds per game on 55.5-percent shooting during her freshman campaign at San Jose City. At FHS, Johnson also participated in volleyball and track & field.
