LARAMIE, Wyo. (APRIL 18, 2026) – The Wyoming Cowboys wrapped up the fourth week of spring practice on Saturday afternoon with a scrimmage and situational periods inside the Indoor Practice Facility. It was the 12th practice of the spring as the Pokes will play the annual spring game inside War Memorial Stadium next Saturday starting at 1 p.m.

Spring Game Next Saturday

The Cowboys will host the annual spring game inside War Memorial Stadium on Saturday, April 25 at 1 p.m. Gates for the contest will open at Noon with fans being asked to site on the Lower East side of the stadium. More information on the events during the spring game will be released early next week.

What Head Coach Jay Sawvel Said

"We have a lot of work to work on, but we had positives on both sides. I thought today was very physical defensively and we tackled well. I think that showed up on both sides of the ball. The quarterbacks were good and when we opened things up, they could really to get into rhythm. We have a number of players that need to play with fans in the seats next Saturday and we look forward to that.”

Cowboy Offensive Line

The Cowboys return a pair of starts on the offensive line in tackles Braylon Jenkins and Rex Johnsen. The duo are the veterans up front, but the Pokes added talent in transfer center Jason Maciejczak from Nebraska and Chandler Donoaway from East Texas A&M.

Other solid returners with action for the Brown and Gold include Quinn Grovesteen-Matchey, Caleb Hall and Giovanni Panozzo, who all saw action a season ago. Jake Davies, who has missed time this spring, also returns along with Josiah Petaia.  Johnathan Bush redshirted last season and saw action in one game in 2025 with Kalvin Janssen, Cooper Lawson and Tariq Miller also redshirting last season. Jeremiah Katt is another talented transfer with Spencer Rathbun and Grant Lott, adding depth to the strong group.
