WILA KAY BONSELL-WILLADSON
TWILA KAY BONSELL-WILLADSON
July 15, 1962–Feb. 11, 2021
Twila Kay Bonsell-Willadson of Newcastle, Wyo., passed away on Feb. 11, 2021, at Weston County Manor. She was born the 15th of July, 1962, in Sturgis, S.D., the daughter of Russell and Leslie Bonsell. Twila was the oldest of two daughters. She and her sister Ramona moved around a lot growing up.
She graduated from Newell High School in South Dakota. Twila had three children from her first marriage, Tomas, Amanda, and Matthew. She married her loving husband, James Willadson, on Nov. 6, 2010, in Las Vegas, Nev., and became a stepmom to two sons, Scott and Ron.
Twila and Jim are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. They were sealed in the Billings, Mont., Temple on Nov. 2, 2018, for time and eternity. What a blessing that was for Twila. Twila attended beautician school, though she never used it for a job. She worked at the Newcastle hospital then went to work for Regional Hospital in Rapid City, S.D., as a financial aid. She was very helpful and pleasant with everyone. Twila had a second job in the evenings while she worked in Rapid City. She would go after work to a woman’s home who had multiple sclerosis and help her with her personal care. She always said how much she loved the woman and the opportunity to spend time with her and help her out. She loved that job.
Twila had a heart of gold and lifetime of service to others. With her soft-spoken words, and kind and loving heart, she truly cared for others. She was always one of the first to show up to help in any situation. Twila loved roses — she grew beautiful roses of every color in her back yard. She even had some from her grandparents, that she took with her everywhere she has lived. They brought her comfort and joy. Twila loved being outdoors and loved to work in her yard and go on walks. One of her favorite places to go was to the Pathways Spiritual Sanctuary in the Black Hills. Twila loved her granddaughters very much and always enjoyed the time she got to spend with them. She loved watching them play sports, even if it was on Zoom. They brought her much happiness.
Twila and Jim added two new kids to their family a couple years ago — two beagles, Lyla and Marley. Twila loved playing and snuggling with them.
Twila was preceded in death by her loving son, Matthew; her father, Russell; and stepson, Scott.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jim; her son, Tomas; daughter, Amanda; stepson, Ron; mother, Leslie; sister, Ramona and family; and three beautiful granddaughters, Kyla, Shayla, and Karla.
Twila’s family respectfully suggest that donations in her memory go to Totes of Hope in Newcastle to help feed children.
