Several composites (1965-1968) of the Newcastle High School graduating class pictures were so badly damaged by water and mold that they could not be preserved. The pictures could not even be brought into the museum because of the mold, but were destroyed outside where the spores would not affect anyone. Fortunately the individual pictures of the students still exist in digital form and new composites are being made so these graduating class pictures are not lost for good.

While a crowd of a couple dozen people brave the cold and wind, members of the Weston County Museum District burn the mortgage to the Red Onion Museum in Upton, WY. Paid off several years early without penalty, the members smile as the mortgage turns to ashes.
