Wyoming to Play in the Nation’s Elite Tournament This Week -- The Arizona N.I.T.

Laramie, Wyo. (March 17, 2022) -- The Wyoming Cowboys return to action this Friday and Saturday at the elite tournament on this week’s collegiate golf schedule -- the Arizona N.I.T. in Tucson, Ariz. 
   
The tournament will feature seven of the Top 25 ranked teams in the country based on the most recent Golfstat Collegiate Golf Rankings (as of March 15).  Those seven ranked teams are: No. 1 Oklahoma, No. 2 Oklahoma State, No. 5 Arkansas, No. 9 Pepperdine, No. 12 Texas, No. 13 Tennessee and No. 25 Illinois. 
   
The field will include a total of 15 teams, including: five Mountain West schools, three Big 12 programs, two Pac-12 schools, two SEC programs, two West Coast Conference teams and one school from the Big Ten.
   
The site for this year’s tournament will be the Omni Tucson National’s Catalina Course.  Oklahoma State returns to defend their tournament title from a year ago.
 
Wyoming’s Lineup
Competing for the Wyoming Cowboys at this week’s Arizona N.I.T. will be: Jimmy Dales, Bryce Waters, Patrick Azevedo, Kirby Coe-Kirkham and Tyler Severin.
 
Tournament Field
This year’s tournament field will feature: Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado State, Illinois, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Pepperdine, San Diego, San Diego State, Tennessee, Texas, UNLV, USC and Wyoming.  
 
Tournament Format
All teams will play two 18-hole rounds on Friday, March 18 and a final 18-hole round on Saturday, March 19.
