RICHARD A. ‘DICK’ TAYLOR

Richard A. “Dick” Taylor, 87, entered eternal rest on Oct. 23, 2021.

Dick was born Oct. 19,1934. He was the oldest of three children born to Carolyn Marie Beckton and Albert Bert Taylor of
Newcastle, Wyo.

He was raised on the family homestead in Horton, 25 miles north of Newcastle. He graduated from Newcastle “Dogies”  High School in 1953. He served in the United States Army, then moved to Billings, Mont. 

He married Jacquelyn “Jackie” Sturgeon Loveridge of Butte, Mont., on June 20, 1966. He owned several businesses including Billings Ambulance and Oxygen Service, and was Yellowstone county coroner for
20-plus years.

He loved his family, his roots in farming and enjoyed polka dancing, flying, gardening, and lived life to the fullest.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jackie. 

He is survived by his son, Rich “Tiger” Taylor of Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Jean Burleson of Newcastle and Marge Bender of Casper, Wyo.; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces,
great nephews. 

Services were held on Friday, Oct. 29, at Smith’s Funeral Chapels, 925 S. 27th, Billings, at 11 a.m., with light lunch to follow.

His ashes will be interred at Black Hills Veterans Cemetery in Sturgis, S.D. In lieu of flowers, remind someone you love them.
