For 70 years Newcastle Vision Clinic has been a part of the community, providing eye care with a variety of fun, fancy, practical, durable, and affordable eyewear.

“We have a lot of choices for frames and lenses and have one of the largest frame inventories in the Black Hills,” stated Dr. Carl Cottrell. “We have a wide range of frames and sunglasses to fit any budget.”

In 1998, Dr. Cottrell took over the long-standing practice. The building was remodeled inside and out, and new equipment was purchased and continues to be purchased to provide the highest quality of service to patients. The practice uses a state-of–the-art retinal scanner which is used on every patient as part of the exam. The retinal scan is used to check for eye health changes such as macular degeneration, glaucoma, high blood pressure, diabetes, and many other eye and general health issues that cannot be detected without specialized equipment.

Dr. Cottrell enjoys providing quality eye care to the community. Stop in Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., or Friday, 8 a.m. to noon, and let Dr. Cottrell, Maddie, Jess, and Kaylie help you with your optical needs.
