Lance Steven Feddersen

Lance Steven Feddersen, 39, of Hill City, SD passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 12, 2023. A memorial gathering will be held, May 20, 2023 at 3 p.m. at the Hill City Visitor’s Center in Hill City, SD.

Lance was born to Steven and Vicki (Hauser) Feddersen on April 4, 1984 in Gillette, WY. He grew up in Newcastle, WY where he attended school and graduated from Newcastle High School in 2003. After high school he attended Job Corps in Nemo, SD where he graduated with a certification in stone masonry.

He married Tanya Anderson in Newcastle, WY on July 19, 2008 and became step-father to Austin and Kelly.

From the time he was young, he loved hunting, fishing and all animals. He never found an animal he didn’t love or a fish he didn’t want to catch. He loved to spend time laughing and teasing with his friends and family. As a father, his favorite past-time was teaching his children how to hunt, fish and enjoy the outdoors as much as he did. He was very proud of Austin and Kelly. He also loved his little dog, Mamas, like his own little baby; he even called her when he was away from home.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Victor and Carol Hauser and Wayne and Mardella Feddersen; as well as his Uncle Kurt Feddersen, Aunt Kathy Johnson, and his Aunt Rita (Jerry) Feddersen.

He is survived by his children Austin and Kelly; his wife Tanya his parents Steven and Vicki Feddersen; his sisters Brandi (Jeffrey) Eastlund, Amber (Garrett) Gall, and Crystal Feddersen; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
