The Different Gadgets You Need for Outdoor Movie Nights

As summer draws to a close, it’s time to start thinking about all the ways you can enjoy being outdoors before it’s too late. A unique idea for some fall family fun is hosting an outdoor movie night. This is great for the kids in school to gather safely or to draw the family close together for a weekend experience. Here’s a list of the different gadgets you may need to achieve this!
Projector System
Even if you have the most comfortable outdoor seating, you can’t achieve a movie night without a way to watch the film. Investing in a quality projector system can give you great outdoor experiences. Projectors are relatively easy to come by, and they make for great investments overall. Plus, you can easily transport them to a location of your choice and allow for a memorable movie experience.
Portable Screen
Once you secure the projector, you’ll need something for the movie to display on. Consider a portable movie screen so that you can set it up or relocate it on a whim. Most often, people use a flat white sheet across the side of the house or garage to create the appearance of a screen. As long as you can accommodate the projector system this way, this is an excellent solution that won’t break the bank.
Waterproof Speakers
Depending on the viewing distance, you will need a quality set of waterproof speakers so that everyone in the audience can hear the movie. It’s best to consider a waterproof option because you can designate these for outdoor use and not worry about weather fluctuations.
It’s still a best practice to secure the speakers at the end of the day, but if they’re waterproof, you can rest assured that they will withstand potential snafus.
Plenty of Extension Cords
With outdoor electrical being scarce and distance being a significant factor, always have plenty of extension cords. This way, you can hook up the electrical components regardless of any trials. When there isn’t any electrical outdoors, consider using the garage electrical to run the cords, but try to secure the cords to avoid trip hazards.
With this brief guide on different gadgets, you are ready to set up an immaculate outdoor movie night with your best guests at your side. Don’t forget the popcorn and beverages to complete the experience. Enjoy the show!
