CHAUNCINE MARGARET GREEN CLAUSEN

Dec. 17, 1948–Nov. 4, 2023
Chauncine Margaret (Green) Clausen, 74, of Albany, Oregon, passed away on Friday, Nov. 4, 2023. Her wishes were to be cremated and later interred at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, South Dakota, where a memorial will take place next summer. A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help St. Mary’s in Albany at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 15, with rosary beginning at 10:30 a.m.
Chauncine was born on Dec. 17, 1948, in Deadwood, South Dakota, to Chauncey and Erma (Conklin) Green. She attended school in Deadwood, Pierre, Rapid City, and Sturgis. Chauncine married Marvin Proctor and they had two children, Mark and Shannon.
She married her husband, Tom Clausen, on Aug. 18, 1988, and they enjoyed 35 devoted years together. She gained two more children with that union, her stepdaughters, Tammy and Tiffany Clausen.
Chauncine spent most of her life caring for children and many others that she welcomed into her home. She was also active in the Catholic church and goodwill organizations like the Jaycees. She loved to travel, fish, play cards, and take care of all her people. Chauncine had a big heart and did her best to share it with everyone who came into her life. Her laughter was infectious, and she was quick to give a hug, even to strangers who needed one.
She is survived by her husband, Tom; her daughter, Shannon Proctor, of Albany; daughter-in-law, Kayla Zirpel-Proctor Orr of St. Paul, Minnesota; granddaughter, Katelyn Henderson; three grandsons, Reece Proctor of Rapid City, RJ Proctor-Hussey of Oregon City, Oregon, and Sean Proctor-Hussey of Oregon City; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Donna Mae; brothers, Delmar Green and Donald Green; son, Mark Proctor; and daughters, Tammy Clausen and Tiffany Claussen.
