Berried Delights officially started business in the fall of 1998, however, owner Elizabeth “Liz” Townsend has been enjoying “jamming” since her oldest daughter Natasha was 6 months old. What started out as a way to preserve an abundance of concord grapes has grown into a business that keeps her busy most nights and weekends. She attends area craft fairs where people can sample the wares before purchasing their favorite flavors.

Every fall she can be found picking the wild plums, buffalo berries, and chokecherries that she uses. Berried Delights now offers over 40 flavors or flavor combinations of jams, jellies, fruit butters, marmalades, and fruit syrups. Liz is continually experimenting with new flavors to make and asking people to critique them. The end result of one tasting has become one of her “hottest” sellers, Raspberry Jalapeño Jam. Several stores carry Liz’s products, including Woody’s Food Center, Sagebrush Market, Something Healthy, and the Strawberry Patch in Newcastle, Larkspur Home in Gillette, as well as stores in Casper, Lander, Douglas, Laramie, Cheyenne and Rapid City, S.D. The entire list of flavors can be found on her website, berrieddelights.com. Liz is so very grateful to her family, friends, and customers for their continued support, as well as all the people who offer her fruit from their trees and produce from their gardens.

Over the years, what started out very small has grown to be her passion. Visit and ‘Like’ Berried Delights on Facebook.
